What our licence server does.

Sharing needs it. Connecting never does.

  • Hosts check in about once a week

Offline, sharing runs for up to 30 days, then pauses until the host reaches us again.

  • Licence data, not your screen

For example a hashed device ID, your licence, device name, platform and version. Never screen content, input or files.

  • Runs in Germany

On our own server, just like this website.

  • 90 days’ notice

Should we ever shut it down, we tell you at least 90 days ahead. Sharing then stops, and we refund unused subscription time pro rata.

You get a licence to use QuadChroma, not ownership of it, whether you buy once or subscribe. Details in the terms (sections 3, 5 and 10) and the privacy policy (section 7).

Questions

One-time or subscription?

What counts as a host?

The computer others connect to. Connecting from your own Mac or PC is free.

I need more than two hosts.

Each extra licence adds two more. For whole teams, QuadChroma Enterprise is on its way, and you can register interest now.
