Install QuadChroma on both computers. On the one you want to control, turn on “Share this Mac” or “Share this PC”. Then pick it on the other computer, click “Connect” and enter the host’s access password, or click “Allow” on the host.

Both need to be on the same network, with sharing turned on. On Windows, allow QuadChroma through the firewall for private networks. Over a VPN, type the host’s address into “Host address”. For admins: TCP 9001–9002, UDP 9003.

Then Windows keeps QuadChroma closed on that network: other computers there can’t reach this PC, and it doesn’t see them in its list. At home, set the network to “Private network” in the Windows network settings.

Screen Recording and Accessibility, asked once when you share. If you said no, turn them on in System Settings under Privacy & Security and restart QuadChroma.

Use an HDR screen on both sides. A Mac host needs macOS 15, Windows needs “Use HDR” on. HDR then switches on by itself, and the switch in the Picture tab glows gold.

Start it in the app, once per device and major version. No card needed. Get the app on the download page.

Sign the old device out in the app or under “My licences” (your customer account), then activate the new one. After a hardware failure, write to us and we’ll help.

Hosts confirm their licence with it about once a week. Offline, sharing stays on for up to 30 days. Connecting never needs it. More on the pricing page.
