Twice as fast: QuadChroma now also builds on a Mac mini with Apple M4

Every change to QuadChroma is built and tested before it reaches you. Until now, all our Mac builds and tests ran on a single Mac mini with M1. It did a great job, but it hit its limits.
Now a Mac mini with Apple M4 in Scaleway's data centre in Paris builds alongside it. Same test build, measured on both:
- Mac mini with M1: 246 seconds
- Mac mini with Apple M4: 118 seconds
That's about twice as fast. And instead of one build at a time, several now run side by side. The M1 Mac mini still handles everything that has to run on a real screen. QC-Phone has its own Mac mini with Apple M4 now, too.
For you, that means more test runs every day, and the next big update gets to you sooner: a new design, easier networking, the Relay Server and lots of fixes.
We're thrilled. Really. And we're far from done: we'll have to scale a lot further, with more build machines and more Windows PCs and Macs to test on.
A big thank you to Scaleway for getting a Mac mini ready for us so quickly, at a time when capacity was hard to find.
